Changes to our Email Reminder Service

As of December 13, 2013, the email reminder service sent out by BiblioCommons, our online catalogue provider, will be discontinued.

We understand how loved this service is and we are currently making changes to the library's in-house notices to include sending out reminders on a daily basis. By enabling what we call "PreOverdues", you will receive an email three business days prior to when an item is due.

How this will work:
If you currently receive email reminders of items coming due AND ARE receiving overdue and hold notification by email, then you will automatically have what we call "PreOverdue" notices turned on.  For a short period of time, you may receive messages from both the library and the BiblioCommons.

If you currently receive email reminders of items coming due BUT ARE NOT receiving overdue and hold notification by email, in order to have the "PreOverdue" notices enabled you will need to contact the library and arrange to have email notification set up.

If you did not know about this service but would like to sign up for reminder emails, it is very simple to do.  Sign up in person at the Circulation desk or call the library at 519-271-0220. You will need to provide the library with your email address and after that point you will receive all your overdues, billing, hold notices and preoverdue notices by email.

Reminder notices are sent as a courtesy. Failure to receive a notice does not remove your responsibility to return items promptly and pay for any late charges that may be incurred. Please notify the library of any changes to your email address.
