Share Your Interests!

Are you a ferocious reader? A lover of classic movies? A guru of jazz? Share your knowledge with not just your community, but the world! How do you ask? By making lists and providing comments in Stratford Public Library’s catalogue, BiblioCommons.  Every list or comment you make is associated with your username and can be viewed by all library users (lists can remain private).

To make a comment:
  1. Login to your account on the library’s catalogue BiblioCommons 
  2. Search for the library item you want to comment on using the search box.
  3. Click on the title of interest from the search results.
  4. Click on Add Comment.
  5. Type your comment.  Click Save.
  6. Refresh screen and your comment will appear in the Community Activity area.
To make a list:
  1. Login to your account on the library’s catalogue BiblioCommons.
  2. Select My Lists under My SPL.
  3. Select Create a New List.
  4. Create a List Name that captures what your list is about.
  5. Add a List Description to further describe your list.
  6. To add an item to your list, select Add an item or Add a Catalogue Item*.
  7. Type in your search terms and click Search.
  8. Click Add beside the titles you want to add to your list.
  9. Repeat the process to add more items.
  10. Close the search window when you are finished.
  11. To annotate your items so others know why you selected the item, click on the Add button beside Annotation.
  12. To rearrange the order of your list hold your mouse button down on the green arrows to the right and then drag and drop.
* To add a website to your list select Add a Web Address.  Copy and paste the web address into the window and give the web address a descriptive Title.
