QR Code? What's that?

Meet the 2.0 version of a barcode - the QR code.

A QR code, or a Quick Response code is a symbol that is readable by specific barcode readers and by camera phones.  You will find QR codes in magazines, bus terminals, on bottles of wine, and now on various Stratford Public Library publicity such as brochures and posters.

Users with a camera phone equipped with a QR code reader app can scan the image of the QR code to display text, contact information, connect to a wireless network, or open a web page in the phone's browser. This act of linking from physical world objects is known as a physical world hyperlink.

You can create your own QR codes on these various websites:

So, if you have an iPhone, Android, or Blackberry, install one of the free QR code reader apps and scan!
