Be Consumer Smart... and Use the Library

For many consumers, the "go to" source for product reviews is Consumer Reports.  Consumer Reports is a magazine produced by Consumers Union, an independent, non profit testing and information organization.  Consumer Union has been providing unbiased reviews and testing of products since 1936 in order to inform and protect consumers.

Consumer Reports covers not only reviews of products and services, but information on personal finance, health, nutrition and other consumer concerns.  Whether you are looking to purchase a new fridge, car, plasma TV, or find more information about reverse mortgages, you can find clear and concise advice in Consumer Reports.
The Stratford Public Library has the Canadian edition of this magazine available in the library to be browsed at your leisure. But for even more convenience, we now have access to Consumer Reports Online.  Consumer Reports Online can be accessed from home, work, or anywhere you have access to the Internet. In order to access this source, members of the Stratford Public Library simply need to enter their complete library card number (no spaces).  To access, click here
